BOUQUET de FLORA (Pleas, 1913) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

BOWL OF BEAUTY (Hoogendoorn, 1949) - Japanese - Pink - Early. About 3' tall. Guard petals fuchsine rose (HCC 25/2), staminodes pale lemon yellow (HCC 601/3). Flowers about 12" in diameter on strong stems, foliage normal green. Very outstanding variety.Bulletin 115.

BOY KELWAY (Kelway) - Double - Flesh - Midseason.

BRAND'S MAGNIFICENT (Brand, 1918) - Double - Red - Late Midseason (List Bulletin 130, Mid.) Tall. (Manual says medium height.) Large crimson with a decidely purple cast. Very prolific; strong stems. Good foliage. An unusually symmetrical flower for its color, but like most reds, it is not always full or well shaped.  It is several shades darker than Karl Rosenfield or Mary Brand and much bluer than either. List in Bulletin 130. M.

BRAVURA (Saunders, 1943) - Single - Red. Shining light crimson with outer white flares. Charmingly crinkled and of fine form, Albiflora x lobata. Lists in Bulletins 91 & 129.

BREAK o' DAY (Murawska, 1947) - Japanese - Dark Pink - Midseason. Tall. Tall dark rose colored Japanese with large rounded guard petals. Large dark red cushion of staminodes, long and gold tipped. Carpels tipped red. Disc light pink. This rather attractive unusual combination of colors makes a very attractive flower at all stages. A good keeper. Beautiful contrast. Bulletin 107.

BRIDESMAID (Kelway) - Double - Flesh. Syns. Marie Jacquin & Walter Lily. Midseason.

BRIGHT DIADEM (Saunders, 1950) - Single - Golden Ivory. Formerly DIADEM . Flowers not large, but a very deep golden ivory with a greenish tint. Quadruple hybrid, Albiflora, officinalis, macrophylla, Mlokosewitschi. List in Bulletin 129.

BRIGHT EYES (Auten, 1950) - Double - Red. A very bright red, with contrasting yellow markings. As snappy as the name implies. Officinalis x albiflora. List in Bulletin 129.

BRIGHT KNIGHT (Glasscock, 1939) Formerly BLACK KNIGHT. Single - Red - Extra Early. Very large, scarlet with orange tint. Form of bud round; stems very long and stiff. Foliage dark green. Strong grower, enormous roots. Similar to Golden Glow but better. Bulletin 76, Bulletin 77, Page 55.

BRIGHTNESS (Glasscock, 1947) - Single - Brilliant Bright Red - Very early. Bright Scarlet red. Perhaps the brightest red so far. Medium height. Good stems. Albiflora x officinalis Sunbeam. Bulletin 108.

BRILLIANT (Gumm,     ) - Single - Red - Early. List in Bulletin 91.

BRITISH BEAUTY (Kelway, 1926) - Double Rose - Midseason.

BRITISH EMPIRE (Kelway) - Single - Rose - Midseason.

BUCCANEER (Saunders, 1929) - Single - Red. Like CHALLENGER , but a lighter crimson. Very fine. Yellow anthers. Albiflora x officinalis. List in Bulletins 91 & 129.

BUFFALO GIRL (Kelsey, 1934) - Double - Deep Pink. Wine, or very deep pink color, shading to white at tips of petals. Good stiff stems. Huge blooms. List in Bulletin 109

BUNCH OF PERFUME (Kelway, 1901) - Double - Rose - Late Midseason. Medium height. Fragrant. Very large, medium compact, rose type. Light Tyrian rose, with silvery border. Free bloomer. (Wild's 1930 catalog) M. & Bulletin 38.

BUNKER HILL (Hollis, 1906) - Double - Tyrian-Rose EM. DISCARDED. Mrs. D. Y. Dunn, Lexington, Kentucky., says: "Excellent cut flower variety. Fine grower, straight strong stems, heavy bloomer. Light red color, some stamens, good in storage. Midseason.

BURGUNDY (Saunders, 1941) - Single - Blackish Purple. Blackish-purple petals of heavy substance. Lustreless and crinkled. Brilliant yellow stamens. Noble carriage. Triple hybrid: albiflora, officinalis, macrophylla. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129.

BURMA (Lins,     ) - Double - Red - Midseason. A beautifully formed brilliant deep red coming into bloom midseason. The fine plant has strong stems that hold the blooms perfectly erect. Lin's ad Bulletin 117.

BURMA RUBY (Glasscock, 1951) - Single - Bright Red - Very Early. Medium height. Very bright red with a little purple which gives it extra brilliance. Albiflora x officinalis Sunbeam. Bulletin 122.

BU-TE (Wassenberg, 1954) - Japanese - White - Late Midseason. Tall. Strong stems. Large flower. Erect rather spreading habit. Flowers large, pure white guards with a large center of yellow staminodes. Stigmas white or creamy. Excellent for garden and show purposes. Parentage TAMATE-BOKU x ISANI GIDUI. Bulletin 136.

BUTLEIGH (Kelway) - Single - Silvery Pink - Midseason.

BUTTER BOWL (Rosefield) - Listed by Krekler, 1955. Mr. Peyton says by Rosenfield.

BUTTERCUP (Glasscock, 1928) - Japanese. White - Late Midseason. Pleasing odor. Medium size. Color, white guards with yellow petaloids. Medium stiff stems. Foliage narrow, dark green. Bulletin 35.

BUTKIT (Guerin, 1840) - Double - Crimson - DISCARDED - Midseason.

CALYPSO  (Andrews, 1925) - Japanese - Pink - Midseason. Tall. Guards pale amaranth pink, staminodes deep tyrian rose tipped yellow. Good. List in Bulletin 91.

CAMELLIA (Saunders, 1942) - Semi-Double. White flushed peach. Hybrid. Albiflora x decora alba. List in Bulletins 129 & 91.

CAMEO (Origin Unknown) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

CAMEO (Auten, 1926) - Double - White. Name changed to CLORINDA. Bulletins 28 & 30.

CAMERON (Crousse, 1879) - Double - Rose - DISCARDED. Midseason.

CAMILLE (Dessert, 1908) - Single - Red - DISCARDED. Midseason. Violet Red.

CAMPAGNA (Saunders, 1941) - Single - White - Hybrid. Pure white, with gold and green center. No pink tones at all. Lovely plant. Deep goblet of white with greenish shadows. Petals slightly fringed and crinkled. Triple hybrid, albiflora, officinalis, macrophylla.
