BOULE de NEIGE (Calot, 1867) - Double - White- Early Midseason. Tall. Raw and pungent odor. Large, cupped outer petals surrounding a fluffy center of mixed narrow petals and stamens. White with a yellow suffusion and very prominent crimson flecks on the guards and on a ring of short thick petals near the center. Floriferous; strong stems. Heavy dark foliage. Blooms immediately after Festima Maxima and somewhat resemble it. It is closer to Mons. Dupont in appearance although its red markings are much more conspicuous. M.

'Boule de Neige' (Calot, Frankrijk, 1862) Bloemen wit, gevuld, middelvroeg; tepalen komvormig en omgeven met een mix van kleine, gele tot crèmeachtige tepalen en meeldraden; ring van de tepalen in het centrum en stampers opvallend karinijnrood gevlekt; bladeren groot, donkergroen; hoogte 100 cm; bloemstengels stevig, vertakking goed.'Boule de Neige' is een mooie en zeer goede, aan te bevelen cultivar. Volgens ingewijden is deze cultivar resistent tegen Botrytis, hetgeen de keuringscommissie niet kan bevestigen.
