The Canadian Brown was William Brown of Elora. 'Doug's White' and 'Douglas Brown' are the same thing. I think Doug's White was a garden name for that variety until Douglas Brown's death when it became 'Douglas Brown'. Douglas was William's son and there are reports that Douglas originated the variety that bears his name. 'Teenie Weenie' is not one of William Brown's. It is by Mrs. Katherine Brown of Ohio. |
