MME. CAMILLE BANCEL (Crousse, 1897) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

MME. CARPENTER (Delache, 1850) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

MME. CHAUMY (Calot, 1864) - Double - Pink - DISCARDED. 1930 Wild catalog; Soft pink, shaded bright rose; clearer on border of petals. Midseason.

MME. CHIANG KAI-SHEK (Payne, 1943) - Double - Yellow White - Very Early (Anemone). Pleasingly scented. One of the first of the Chinese varieties to bloom, ahead of Edulis Superba and Helen. Blooms a week earlier than Laura Dessert which it resembles in color, though distinctly different, with a stronger yellow center. Color between was yellow and primuline yellow (Ridgeway). Prolific bloomer. Flowers of good size, borne on strong stems well above a compact, shapely plant of rich dark green. Fine landscape variety also suitable for cut flower. Bulletin 90.

MME. CLAUDE TAIN (Doriat, 1927) - Double - White - Late Midseason. White or blush. Resembling Baroness Schroeder much in coloring with perhaps a better stem. This is a very fine flower, its rosy white flowers of full rose type being especially attractive. List in Bulletin 60. M.

MME. COSTE (Calot, 1873) - Double - Pink, sulphur center - DISCARDED - Midseason.

MME. COURANT (Courant, 1850) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

MME. CROUSSE (Calot, 1866) - Double - White. 1916 Wild catalog: Midseason to late, large pure white, with occasional carmine spots, fine bud and flower. M.

MME. D'AREMBERG (Origin unknown) - Double - Crimson - Midseason.

MME. de BOLLEMONT (Crousse, 1892) - Double - Pink - DISCARDED - Midseason.

MME. de GALHAU (Crousse, 1883) - Double - Pink. 1930 Wild catalog: Rose type, late. Medium large compact bloom. Guards rose-white, center pale lilac-rose. Free bloomer; fragrant. Hidseason.

MME. de GOVIN (Crousse, 1875) - Double - White - DISCARDED - Midseason.

MME. de VATRY (Guerin, 1863) - Double - White and Pink - Midseason. Medium height. Fragrant. Large. Guards and central petals are very light pink; the central petals are surrounded by several rows of cream-white petals; develops high crown as flower ages. Free-blooming; moderately strong habit.

MME. de VERNEVILLE (Crousse, 1885) - Double - White - Early. Medium height. Sweet, rose-like fragrance. Medium size. Smooth white guard petals surrounding an incurved, blush-white center which quickly develops a crown and frequently there are distinct crimson marks on the tips of several petals; occasionally the color is tinted lemon, and usually the whole flower becomes white with age, except for the crimson spots in the center. None too strong; very free-blooming and dependable. Foliage is light green. M.

MME. d'HOUR (Calot, 1864) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

MME. D. TREYERAN (Dessert, 1899) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Dwarf. Sweet, pleasing fragrance. Large. Flesh-pink, thickly overlaid by minute flakes of dark rose-pink, darkening toward center, a few petals marked with crimson. Floriferous; good stems and foliage. Well-built, compact flower. Considered a good garden sort.

MME. DUCEL (Mechin, 1880) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Dwarf. Not very fragrant. Medium size. Broad, flaring guards and a compact incurved center of pale old-rose with a lustrous silvery sheen; floriferous; stiff stems. Good foliage.

MME. DUPONT - Probably a mis-writing of MONS. DUPONT. Double - White, marked crimson. Mid-season.

MME. DURUFLE - Probably a mis-writing of MONS. DURUFLE. Double - White - Midseason.

MME. EDOUARD DORIAT (Dessert-Doriat, 1924) - Double - White. Tall. Fragrance, poor. Large, white, loosely globular flower, with rounded petals, lightly tipped crimson; outer petals relax on opening around cupped center, with golden stamens visible between the petals. Stiff stems. Midseason.

MME. EMILE DEBATENE (Dessert-Doriat, 1927) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Very similar in habit and form to Souvenir de Louis Bigot but with a darker and more brilliant pink coloring. This flower is considered its equal and by some its superior. It is a free and dependable bloomer. List in Bulletin 60. M.

MME. EMILE DUPRAZ (Riviere, 1911) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Good rose fragrance. Large. Old-rose-pink, with a few red-edged petals in a circle about the center; cup-shaped at first, opening flat, and the outer petals reflexing. M.

MME. EMILE GALLE (Crousse, 1881) - Double - Pink - Late. Medium height. Fair rose fragrance. Large. Very light rose-pink which is more strongly defined in the center, and without crimson markings, of translucent texture and firm substance. Free-flowering; good stems, and foliage. A favorite variety because of its delicate color and texture. M.

MME. EMILE LEMOINE (Lemoine, 1899) - Double - White - Midseason. Tall. Mild fragrance. Large. Opens with crimson streaks on outer petals and a faint flush of tiny dots of pink, fading to creamy white, with crimson flakes on center petals. Free-blooming; strong stems and foliage. Before fading it develops an immense, crown-like center of many compact petals, mixed with stamens. M.

MME. ESCARY (Lemoine, 1922) - Double - White - Midseason. Large. Very large, perfect outer petals of heavy substance, cupped, smoothly overlapping, and graduated to a fine rosebud center; no stamens; pure white in effect, but has faint traces of pink and a slightly greenish yellow cast on outer petals and in the depths at the center. M.

MME. EVERARD (Origin unknown) - Double - Rose - Midseason.

MME. FOREL (Crousse, 1887) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Medium height. Slight fragrance. Very large. Even, clear pinkish lavender throughout; all petals large and smooth; center compact; slightly fragrant. Moderate bloomer; weak stems. Average foliage. Generally unsatisfactory. The buds frequently blast, and when they do open the stems are too weak to support the enormous flowers. The color is rather flat and opaque, much nearer lavender than pink. M.
