GABISAN (Japan) - Single - White. An enormous white single of excellent substance. 1955 catalog.
GAE OROSZ (Richmond) - Double - Cream Pink - Midseason. Tall. Deep cream and pink. 1952 catalog and 1955 list.
GAIETY (Sass, 1937) - Jap. - Red. - Late. Extremely late blooming variety. Color a gay, bright red, with full globular center. Bulletin 69.
GALATHEE (Lemoine, 1900) - Double - White - Very Late. Tall. Very fragrant. Large. Flesh-white with pink center. Floriferous; good stems and foliage. Extremely late, very double blooms of high quality that develop very slowly and sometimes fail to open well. M.
GALENA (Auten, 1948) - Double - Deep Rose - Late. Tall. Not fragrant. An entirely new shade, mulberry, or maybe very deep rose. Bomb type, on stiff stems, with low foliage; a perfect plant for commercial cut-flowers, much admired by many people. It has exceptional substance. Recommended for the northern half of the peony belt only. Auten catalog, 1955.
GALLANT RED (Auten, 1945) - Jap. - Dark Red - Earliest. Rich dark red, almost solid color, does not fade. Stiff stems, very vigorous plant. 1945 given as date by Mr. Auten. 1950 by Wild catalog. Wild 1955 catalog.

GARDENER'S JOY (Neeley, 1936) – Semi-Double in Bulletin 91.
GARDENIA (Lins) - Double - Blush White - Early Midseason. One of the loveliest, large gardenia formed. Perfect every year. Many times winner of championship ribbon. Lin's list 1955: Fine plant, strong stems foliaged way down. Lins ad in Bulletin 133.
GARDEN GLORY (Auten, 1956) - Double - Red - Late. Tall. Outstanding for color, a dark red. The color holds. Anemone type, almost a bomb. Stiff stems. Letter from Mr. Auten, April, 1956. Auten's catalog 1956.
GARDEN PEACE (Saunders, 1941) - Single - White - Hybrid. Tall. Great single white flower, several to a stem, with gold and crimson centers. Its side blooms give it a very long season. The dark red stems are so tall they may need a stake. Albiflora x macrophylla. Second generation, back cross. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129. Miss Saunder's letter, 1955.
GARDEN PRINCESS (Neeley, 1930) - S-Double - Pink - Midseason. Tall. A rich silvery soft light pink fading to white. Outer petals large and uniformly rounded, making a flower of pleasing form. Golden stamens intermingled with center petals add charm to the flower. Vigorous. List in Bulletin 91.
GARDEN SENTINEL (Freeborn, 1943) - Double - Pink - Hybrid. Large brilliant pink, full double. Opens slowly, lasting two weeks. Deep rich green foliage. Very showy flower. Albiflora x officinalis. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129.
GARNET GARNET (Gumm, 1926) First named DORA HART. Double - Dark Red - Midseason. List in Bulletin 91. (Kelway) - Double - Pink - M.
GARNET BEAUTY (Wright, 1935) - Single - Dark Red - Early Midseason. Tall. Medium large rich silky dark red with two rows of broad perfectly formed petals; center of compact rich golden yellow stamens. Strong stems with abundant foliage holding flowers above the foliage in rain and wind. Plant strong vigorous grower, yound and profuse bloomer, having never failed to bloom even under the most unfavorable weather conditions ever known. Flowers of superior substance, holding color and form in sun and rain and outstandingly attractive for landscape effect and fine for cutting. Bulletin 60.
GAYBORDER JUNE (Hoogendoorn, 1949) - Double - Pink - Early. About 3 ½" high. Flowers large (10-12" in diameter), fuchsine rose in color, thickly petalled double. Foliage light green. A perfect flower for the market. Bulletin 115.
GAY CAVALIER (Glasscock, 1944) - Single - Scarlet Red - Early - Hybrid. Albiflora x officinalis List in Bulletin 129.
GAY PAREE (Auten, 1933) - Jap. - Cerise to white. A most outstanding novelty, entirely distinct Guards deep cerise, anemone Jap. type center with ethereal lights flushing to white. Some blooms have a central tuft. Medium sized bloom, good substance, fine stem and plant. Bulletin 54.
G. B. SOWERBY (Richardson) - Double - White - DISCARDED - M.
GEISHA (Sass, 1930) - Jap. - Pink. A seedling of MIKADO and similar in shape and growth, but a lighter pink color. Bulletin 43.
GEISHA (Origin unknown) - Jap. - Red - M.
GEISHA GIRL (Richmond, 1952) - Jap. - Rich even pink - Midseason. Medium height. This medium sized, Japanese type flower is a rich rose pink with heavy, ribbon-like petaloids. It has strong wiry stems and free flowering. It has medium green foliage and blooms in midseason. Bulletin 130.
