CHERRY LUAU (Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery, June, 1995. Seedling #KR38-9. Semi-double lactiflora, white to cream with cherry streaks fluted, twisted petals, matching pistils. 4 1/2-5 wide bloom. Strong stems, 28" height. Early bloom, good foliage. Good substance, pollen and seeds. 2 buds per stem. Bulletin #295.

CHERRY RUFFLES (Don Hollingsworth, Maryville, Missouri), March 20, 1996. Seedling number Hollingsworth 1153. Parentage (Lactiflora double red from Kickapoo - Saunders' unnamed seedling of Officinalis cv x Peregrina). First flowered about 1978. Cherry ruffles, herbaceous hybrid, semi-double cherry scarlet, blooms midseason. It has many ruffled petals around small center of yellow stamens. It has good substance, prolific amount of bloom on a compact bush of medium green leaflets somewhat curled and ruffled. 28" in height with excellent stem strength. It has stamens and pollen, and a mild fragrance. One bud per stem. National Exhibit 1995, received Honorable Mention. Bulletin #298.

CHERRY TWIST (Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery, June, 1995. Seedling #KR38-20. Lactiflora, cherry red combined with magenta, cream and green. Good substance, high crowned. Cherry, magenta, cream and green with yellow peek-a-boo stamens. Fluted, ruffled, incised petals. Slight fragrance. Excellent lush foliage. 5"-5 1/2" wide bloom. Heavily lenticuled, spotted stems. Mid-season bloom. Stamens, Pollen. Bulletin #295.

CHIFFON CLOUDS (Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery, June, 1995. Seedling #K80-12. Salmon, single lactiflora. This flower of softest salmon changes to cloud-colored salmon; ruffled petals look like chiffon. It has stamens, pollen, and seeds. 36" in height with good stem strength, early bloom, reliable, good average foliage, fragrant. 3-4 buds per stem. Bulletin #295.

CHRISTMAS VELVET (Roger Anderson, Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin), July 2, 1992. Seedling #H15184. Parentage Mikado x Good Cheer. First bloomed 1987. This velvet red hybrid double ball form has excellent stem strength which supports the flower - no blooms on the ground. Heavy amount of bloom, good foliage. Bloom is located nicely above the bush; vigorous 28-30 inches in height, mid-season bloom. Fragrant. Bulletin #283. Sept. 1992.

CHRISTOPHER'S CORAL (Granuille Hall - Rt. 6, Box 7365, Gloucester, Virginia), Sept. 21, 1991. Seedling #1-9-SC-CC, single lactiflora. Parentage: Krinkled White x unknown. First bloomed 1989. The large bloom opens deep coral and after a few days fades to lavender. It holds its color best in partial shade. Good stem strength; extremely vigorous. Mid to late season of bloom. It has pollen and seeds. The special merit of this plant is that it yields a large volume of both roots and bloom. A single root yielded nine blooms when it first bloomed in 1989. Bulletin #280.

CIRCUS (Krekler-Roy Klehm), June, 1994. Seedling #KR42-50. Single lact- iflora. First bloomed 1984. Rose pink with whitish picotee edging. Good substance, stamens, pollen seeds and fragrant. Good stein strength. 32- 34" in height. Midseason bloom, very healthy foliage. Pleasing rose pink single with whitish picotee flower petal edging. Very nice in a group planting. Reminds me of a circus clown's hat. Bulletin #291.

CIRCUS-CIRCUS (Roy G. Klehm), Klehm Nursery, June, 1995. Seedling #KR4725. Wider petaled daisy-like bloom. White base petals of raspberry with irregular streaking, matching raspberry tipped pistils. Some ruffled fluted petals, riot of colors, 4" wide flower, slight fragrance. Early bloom, 28-30" height, good foliage. 0-5 buds per stem. Bulletin #295.
