(Lemoine, 1899.) 8.9. Double type; large; midseason. Opens with crimson streaks on outer petals and a faint flush of tiny pink dots, fading to creamy white, with crimson flakes on center petals; mildly fragrant. Tall; free-blooming; strong stems and foliage. Before fading it develops an immense, crown-like center of many compact petals, mixed with stamens. Highly regarded by fanciers. "One of the truly great peonies. Would rate in high 9 if all the stock were healthy."Little. "A great show flower."Brand.
