Pritzel 5140; Stafleu & Cowan 4285; Junk Rara I, 65. As Pallas' "Flora Rossica" (1784-1831) was never finished, the above work was the first complete flora of Russia. Nevertheless in the beginning it was not much esteemed: the publisher's stock supplied copies for a period of almost half a century, since it went out of print not earlier than 1898, and the last copies were sold at a reduced price. Nowadays it is an esteemed rarity, which is much sought after.
