Jiao Yan. Rose form, sometimes lotus form or chrysanthemum form occurs. Flowers 20cm x 5cm, light red (50-C), soft; petals multi-whorled, stiff, flat, layered conspicuously, apex pinkish red, suffused with red at the base; a few stamens petaloid, filaments elongated; pistils nearly normal, floral discs deep purplish red. Stalks stout, stiff, flowers upright. Flowering early midseason. Plant medium height, partially spreading. Branches stout. Leaves orbicular, large-sized, thick, sparse; leaflets long elliptic or ovate with a few and shallow lobes, obtuse at the apex. Growth vigorous; flowers many, tolerant of strong sunshine. Bred by Heze Flower Garden in 1973. |
