The plant is vigorous with dark green foliage; the flower is fragrant and blooms in early-mid-season. Named after Geraldine Smith, devoted employee for 40 yrs. working with peonies. She keeps all the varieties straight. Her husband is Edward Smith, made famous by "Mr. Ed." peony. Bulletin #268.
