Bai Yuan Hong Xia. Crown form. Flowers 16cm x 8cm, purplish red (60-B); the outer petals 3- 4-whorled, large, stiff, suffused with deep purplish red at the base; the inner petals sparse, long, wrinkled, a few stamens grow among the petals; pistils small or developed, petaloid, greenish coloured. Stalks long, stiff, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, erect. Branches stiff. Leaves long, medium-sized, stiff, fairly crowded; leaflets long ovate, apex acute. Growth vigorous; flowers many, bright-colour; tolerant of low temperature during bud stage. Bred by Heze Flower Garden in 1972. |
