Zhong sheng white, Fragrance of White Lily

Bai Lian Xiang. Crown form, sometimes lotus form or anemone form occurs. Flowers 15cm x 5cm, at first pinkish white, later white (155-D); the outer petals large, stiff, purplish red basal blotches, centre parts of the inner petals wrinkled, small, enlarged near apex, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present, a few stamens grow among petals, pistils small or slightly petaloid. Stalks long, stiff, flowers upright. Flowering early. Plant medium height, erect. Branches fairly stout. Leaves long, medium-sized; leaflets ovate, deeply lobed, acuminate at the apex, the margins slightly curved upwards. Growth vigorous; flowers many, varied in form, several flower forms usually found on a plant; tolerant of diseases and salinity-alkalinity. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1976.
