Song Chun. Crown proliferate form. Flowers 17cm x 6cm, purplish red (61-C); Petals 3-4-whorled, entire and regular, flat, suffused with deep purple at the base, nearly all stamens petaloid, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present; pistils occasionally developed, petaloid, greenish coloured in the lower flower. Petals relatively few, wrinkled; stamens infertile or petaloid; pistils small or petaloid in the upper flower. Stalks long, stiff, flowers upright. Flowering late midseason. Plant medium height, erect. Branches fairly stout, straight, stiff. Leaves long, large-sized, thick, fairly crowded; leaflets long ovate or broadly ovate-lanceolate, apex acuminate. Growing vigorous. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1964. |
