Zi Jing Hong. Anemone form. Flowers 17cm x 6cm, purplish red (53-B); the outer petals 4-5- whorled, entire, large, with purplish red small streaks at the base; stamens partially developed, petaloid, small, toothed at the apex, curved inwards; the outer petals arranged closely, the majority of stamens normal in the flower centre, pistils normal; ovaries 12-18, floral discs smaller and absent. Stalks fairly short, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant dwarf, partially spreading. Branches slender, stiff. Leaves long, medium-sized; leaflets long ovate, acuminate at the apex. Growth medium, flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1979. |
