XIANG YANG HONG, «Rossa di fronte al sole». Fiore rosa, semplice o semidoppio Portamento eretto e vigoroso, profumo delicato, fioritura medio- tardiva.

Xiang Yang Hong. Lotus form. Flowers 18cm x 4cm, deep purplish red (61-B), lustrous; petals 4-whorled, large, entire and regular, lustrous, tolerant of strong sunshine, with a deep-cut at the apex, dark purple basal blotches; stamens normal; pistils normal; floral discs pinkish white. Stalks slender, long, stiff, straight, flowers upright. Flowering early. Plant tall, erect. Branches slender, stiff, suffused with purple near the petiole axils. Leaves long, medium- sized, fairly sparse; leaflets ovate or long ovate, the margins curved upwards, slightly suffused with purple, acuminate at the apex, with conspicuous veins, light green. Growth vigorous, flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1988.
