Flowers 14cm x 5cm, red (52-A); the outer petals soft, reflexed, dark purple at the base; the inner petals wrinkled, soft, sparse; stamens partially petaloid, pistils small or petaloid. Stalks short, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant dwarf, partially spreading. Branches relatively slender. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, relatively crowded; leaflets ovate or elliptic, obtuse at the apex, terminal leaflets soft, pendulous, upper surface deep green. Growth weak, flowers relatively few. Classic variety.
