Ruan Zhi Lan. Crown form. Flowers 17cm x 7cm, pink faintly bluish (73-D); the outer petals 2-3-whorled, flat; the inner petals layered, usually toothed at the apex, suffused with purple at the base; pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured. Stalks short, pliable, flowers laterally pendulous. Flowering late. Plant tall, spreading. Branches stout. Leaves long, large-sized, thick, soft; leaflets broadly ovate lanceolate, acuminate at the apex, pendulous. Growth vigorous, flowers relatively few, leaves falling late; resistant to leaf spot; high yield of danpi from roots for medicine. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1965. |
