Ming Yuan. Chrysanthemum form. Flowers 19cm x 6cm, deep pinkish red (58-C); petals 6-8-whorled, stiff, regular, the apex irregular and toothed; stamens normal; pistils 5, floral discs deep purple. Stalks long, stiff, flowers upright. Flowering early midseason. Plant tall, erect. Branches slender, stiff. New branches growing about 30cm long in 20-year plants. Leaves long, medium-sized; leaflets long ovate or broadly lanceolate, acuminate at the apex, the margins slightly curved upwards. Growth vigorous; flowers profuse. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1970. |
