CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (Auten, 1939) - Jap. Red - Very Early - Hybrid. Black red Jappy bomb type with some yellow dots on center petals. Color is unusually rich and free from purple suggestions. Officinalis x albiflora. Bulletin 80.
CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (Auten, 1939). (Lactiflora x Officinalis). (Type japonais). Fleur rouge sombre violacé, très foncé, presque marron, avec un cœur de pétaloïdes or cuivré. Précoce. H. 0,95 m.
Chocolate Soldier (Auten, 1939) Dark, reddish-brown, Japanese, midseason, 28" tall, hybrid. The deep, near chocolate petal color is set off by yellow anthers and red carpals. The flower type can range to double. A hard to find variety.
