Offensichtlich kommt seit jeher bei den beiden Namen alles durcheinander. Wie kann man auch im selben Jahr eine Sorte Eugénie und eine Eugène Verdier nennen! Wer soll da durchblicken. In der amerikanischen Literatur ist 'Eugénie Verdier' rosa-pink und 'Eugène Verdier' zartlachs. Bei G+K ist es nicht so. Ich habe mich für die Amerikanische Version entschieden, da dort beide nebeneinader beschrieben sind und bei G+K nur eine von beiden.

Double type; very large; early midseason. Rose-pink, paling at tips of petals, and outer edge of flower occasionally flecked with crimson near center; fragrance not notable. Tall; floriferous; strong stems. Good foliage.
A very well-finished bloom of excellent form and texture, lasting well when cut. Some authorities consider La Verne a synonym.
