Dan Zao Liu Jin. Crown form. Flowers 16cm x 6cm, purplish red (60-D), sparkling; the outer petals 2-3-whorled, thick, stiff, suffused with dark purple at the base; the inner petals fairly large, sparse, a few stamens grow among the petals; pistils small. Stalks stiff; flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant dwarf, partially spreading. Branches slender. Leaves long, small- sized; leaflets long ovate, apex acute, deeply lobed, the margins conspicuously curved upwards to semitube. Growth fairly weak, flowers relatively few. Classic variety.
