Zi Hong Zheng Yan. Crown form. Flowers 15cm x 5cm, deep purplish red (60-B), lustrous; the outer petals 2-whorled, ruffled, with dark purple blotches at the base; the inner petals twisted and wrinkled, with large petals near the flower centre, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present; pistils developed, petaloid, white. Stalks slender, long, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, erect. Branches fairly slender. Leaves long, small-sized, sparse; leaflets .ovate or broadly ovate, apex acuminate, pendulous, with many lobes in the upper parts of the leaflets, the margins slightly curved upwards. Growth vigorous, flowers many. Petals slow to fall after flowers wither. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1976.
