PFEIFFER'S PRIDE (Pfeiffer, 1932) - Double - Pink - Late. Medium height. Pleasing fragrance. Double rose type of fine form; outer petals of a peculiar shade of light pink, shading deeper in the center, with a ring of yellow stamens surrounding a tuft of deeper pink, blotched with crimson. Strong, stiff stems; pleasing fragrance. A really fine new peony. Wild's 1954 catalog. List in Bulletin 91. |
