Paeonia 'Jun Yan Hong'

Jun Yan Hong. Hundred proliferate form. Flowers 18 cm x 7cm, pinkish purple bluish (73-B). Petals 3-4-whorled, broad and large, stiff, the margins wavily toothed, suffused with, purplish red at the base, stamens a few, occasionally petaloid; pistils developed, petaloid, reddish green coloured in the lower flower. Petals relatively few, rugose, toothed at the apex, long, straight, stamens small, pistils small in the upper flower. Stalks stout, long, straight; flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, erect. Branches relatively stout. Leaves long, medium-size, thick; leaflets long ovate, acuminate at the apex. Growth vigorous, flowers many; tolerant of leaf spot, leaves falling late. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1969.
