Paeonia 'White Sands'

type: [herbaceous peony] – [species cultivar] – [lactiflora]

WHITE SANDS (Gilbert H. Wild & Son) White and yellow Jap. 32" tall, 5-6" flower. Midseason. Fragrant. Yellow center, (really an anemo) with petalodes developing, becoming white carpelodes in many blooms. Bulletin #190 September 1968.

White Sands (Wild & Son 1968) LM.  Anemone to Bomb form; white guard petals surround a center of narrower white petals, tawny petalodes mixed in; on younger plants the tawny petalodes predominate.  Fragrant, one of Lavon's favorites.  An easy performer; medium-tall, strong, erect bush, many stems.  Seeds.
