LORELEI (Don Hollingsworth, Maryville, Missouri), June 30,1996. Seedling #995. Parentage Harold Wolfe Lacti seeder x Good Cheer. First bloomed about 1980. Herbaceous hybrid, deep orange pink, color passes to apricot-orange (RHS 24-D). Medium-sized bomb, sweet spicy fragrance, good substance, most reliable. Excellent stem strength, 26" in height, mid-season bloom. Medium green, conspicuously veined foliage (RHS 146A). One bud per stem. Certificate of Merit 1991.

Lorelei (Hollingsworth 1996) EM-M, Bomb type; opens a striking orange pink, unique in peonies, passes to light apricot orange.  Sweet, spicy fragrance.  Medium sized flowers, borne singly on 26-inch stems. Bush stoutly erect.  Bright avocado color leaflets, veined yellow green.  Seed parent, Belleville (see at Lacti list), pollen parent Good Cheer.  Command Performance sibling.  Triploid, no fertility noted.  APS seedling Certificate of Merit 1991 at Hamilton, Ontario.
