KILLINGTON (Freeborn, 1934) - Double - White - Late. Medium height. Tea rose fragrance. Large white, free bloomer. Petals in whorls similar to Solange. Strong grower, blooms on every stalk. Leaves and stems hairy. Plant strong. Opens with Marie Lemoine but buds do not have difficulty in opening. Named for Killington Mountain, the second highest peak in Vermont. Bulletin 57. |
