Paeonia 'Ada Niva' (reg. as 'Apaniva')

type: [herbaceous peony] – [species cultivar] - [lactiflora]

APANIVA (Originator - Albert Niva, Pacific Peonies, Owner.) Seedling number, parentage and first bloomed - unknown. Beautiful deep burgundy red Japanese with a touch of gold on edge of center petaloids. Glossy and lustrous foliage. Interesting as it is emerging in early Spring, 18" in height with good stem strength. Late lactiflora, has seeds, no pollen, slight fragrance. This variety is short, and especially good for landscape.

Dick Westland 2002:

Concerning hybridizer Niva. Registration error (misspelled) Apaniva is Ada Niva. Best regards Dick Westland
